Dr. Neelam Mohan is a leading pediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist in India, with vast experience of 25 years in her field. Dr. Neelam Mohan is a pioneer in pediatric liver transplantation in India and is credited with several firsts in the field in India. She is also credited with few global firsts in pediatric liver transplantation. She was the first in India to start therapeutic endoscopy in newborn and young children. She has > 250 publications (>100 are international) and authored > 50 chapters in books. She has presented at more than 900 forums, of which more than 200 were international. Spoken by invitation at global / international conferences in most countries – USA, Europe, UK, Canada, Japan, Dubai, Saudi and other Asia pacific countries. She is author of several global and national guidelines on Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Dr. Neelam is advisor to National Health Authority of India (Aayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri –Jan Aarogya Yojna). She is the co-chair of STW (Standard Treatment Workflow) for Pediatrics, an endeavour of Government of India through ICMR. She is also an Advisor of National Board of Examinations. Apart from B.C. Roy Award, she has been awarded Swastha Bharat Samman by Zee Health, Vashisht Chikitsa Ratan Award by Hon. Lt. Governor of Delhi, DMA Centenary Award by Finance Minister and Dr. Sadhana International Empowerment of Women Award.
She is President of Indian society of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ISPGHAN) Society and Commonwealth Association of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (CAPGAN).
