IVF Treatment/Surrogacy

Today, there are many women and couples who are unable to give birth to a child due to many reasons like, infertility of one of the partners, or maybe the woman’s uterus is inhospitable for the growth of a child. There can also be a condition where the woman has some fertility issue or the fallopian tube is damaged or blocked. For these situations, the medical industry has brought up a few alternates through which any couple can be blessed with a child. 

First one is surrogacy. Surrogacy is a boon to all those couples who are unable to get pregnant. This process involves an agreement through which another woman agrees to carry the child of some other couple in her uterus. That couple becomes the child’s parents after birth. The sperm of the male partner and ovum of the female partner is taken and fertilized in an outside medium and then that is inserted in the uterus of a surrogate mother. The surrogate carries the child for 9 months and gives birth to the couple’s child. 

Another method very popular in cases where there is female infertility or the fallopian tube gets blocked due to some condition that hampers the fertilization process of sperm and the egg is IVF technology. In-vitro Fertilisation refers to a process where the female eggs are taken and are fertilized with the male sperm and is allowed to grow for a few week in-vitro media. When the embryo is ready to get inserted into the uterus, it is injected into the mother’s body.
